Abbey
Tedalda is an ancient earth Benedictine object
of arguments, both for the interest aroused
by
the forests used for the "servitium trabium",
both for her strategic position.
For
this subsequently had to also pass under the jurisdiction
of the Bishop of City of Castle.
Benedictine power stopped when the pope granted
Bonifacio VIII to the Accounts of Montedoglio
to protect the monastery and the castle of Abbey
Tedalda.
The
dominion of the Montedoglios lasted up to 1385
year when the territory passed under the Florentine
Republic. Florence occupied these earths in 1445,
and in 1489 it imposed her statutes.
To
the begin of the sec. XVI the fathers cassinesis
in Florence received the charge to administer
the territory.
Returned
then under the direct administration of the Medici,
Abbey Tedalda followed the fates in Tuscany medicea
and of that lorenese.
Ancient
earth of shepherds, woodmen and coalmen, itineraries
it is lent to a foot and to horse.
